Then the rain let us have it and started raining harder. We had to move underneath the building to keep ourselves and bikes dry. Then around 1 people started showing up. From a few that number kept increasing. Till around 3 is when the donuts place was getting packed and people were all over the place. At 4 is when we moved into the street in preparation for the race. Finally being on the street it hit me on how many people were there, according to the organize 300+ people showed up.
The excitement arose when the organizer started speaking to us and telling us what not to do and to do. Then it was amazing when we started rolling out with bikes litrearrly inches from each other. So fucking amazing… I how ever was not able to finish the race to Santa Monica because the first few hills took their toll on me, its fucking flat in oxnard. I managed to do good for 10 miles till i called the quits and headed back to the car. I also turned around because of the rain and having to get back from santa monica to my car. The rain thou picked up real bad on the freeway, where i almost had a car accident cus someone lost control and almost hit me. I drove 50mph the whole way back. Now that i know what’s needed, i am ready for the 2012 event. Bring it!
